Thank You, Rough Truths Readers

Rough Truths is now a sprightly two months old, and that means I’m now two months old as a blogger (and frankly a little less sprightly than I would like to admit).

My stats pack tells me that as of yesterday morning, the site passed the 3000 ‘unique page views’ milestone, has had almost 900 ‘unique visitors’, and boasts around 75 subscribers and feed readers (it’s also starting to show up on other blogger’s blogrolls).   That doesn’t put Rough Truths in the Technorati 100, but it feels like a good start for a newcomer to blogging who is writing a column about politics, economics and culture.   So I don’t know who you are – and frankly I’m still figuring out how most of you found me – but I’d like to thank all of the Rough Truth readers for investing the time to read its pages, and for sharing your thoughts.

As a newbie to blogging, I’m still working to find the right tone and voice for this medium.  Having reached this minor/early milestone, I’d like to ask for your thoughts on what you would like to see more (and less) of in these pages, and how I can improve the site.  I’ve been known to bloviate on politics and policy – with little provocation – with my very indulgent friends for many years (many of whom have pleaded with me to direct my attentions elsewhere!), but now I’m asking people I don’t know me to invest their time in my efforts.  So I’d like to make sure it is worth their time – and that of people they might send my way.

So if you have a moment, please drop me a note at with any comments – good or bad – about Rough Truths.  I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for helping get this off to a fun start.  Now I just need to figure out this SEO thing….
